Police resubmit Zarina dossier
JAKARTA (JP): Police have resubmitted the dossier on Ecstasy- case suspect Zarina to the Jakarta Provincial Public Prosecutor's Office yesterday after making several corrections to it.
Jakarta Police Detectives' chief, Col. Paimin Aboeamr, said the prosecutor's office returned the dossier to police Monday because it was incomplete.
"But we completed the corrections and resubmitted the dossier today. We hope it is good enough and the prosecutor's office won't send it back to us," Paimin said.
Zarina was arrested at her house in West Jakarta by Tangerang police on Aug. 7 for possessing 29,677 Ecstasy pills. She escaped the next day during a police escort.
She was re-arrested on Nov. 4 in Houston U.S., and brought back to Jakarta two weeks later.
She is accused of distributing the pills and charged with violating Health Law Articles 80 and 81 and health ministry regulation number 782/1996 on psychotropic drugs. (jun)
