Police reshuffle expected

JAKARTA (JP): A number of police precinct chiefs under the supervision of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police will be replaced in the next few days, according to an informed source.

Among the officers expected to move is the current Jakarta Police Spokesman, Lt. Col. Iman Haryatna, who will be installed as chief of the Tangerang Police precinct, replacing Lt. Col. Djoko Satryo.

The source, who asked for anonymity, said yesterday that the other precincts whose chiefs are to be replaced include North Jakarta, East Jakarta and Depok.

When contacted yesterday, Iman refused to comment.

"I've received no order concerning that," he said. (bsr)
