Police personnel fired over murder

JAYAPURA, Papua: Papua Police have dismissed First. Brig. Saul
Jefry Mamani, a member of the police's Mobile Brigade (Brimob),
for allegedly stabbing to death civilian Luis Adeyar on Sunday
last week, after a fight between them at a local bar.

The verdict was delivered at a police tribunal held at the
Papua Police Headquarters on Friday, said Sr. Comr. Robby
Kaligis, the chief of Papua Police's Mobile Brigade, on Saturday.

Robby said the case would also be tried at a civilian court.
