Police performance

I have on several occasions reported matters to the police concerning cheating, stealing and even a criminal matter concerning over 30 migrant workers. Unfortunately, not one of these cases received serious attention.

In a recent case, I was no longer interested in relying on the police, so I made a deal with a gang, the matter was settled in three weeks.

Have the authorities (police) sunk so low and become so incapable that we have to resort to using force to settle problems? Do I actually have to pay police officers to catch criminals? If that's the case, I am only too willing to pay, but only after I have got back the lost goods and money.
