Police nab drug suspects

TANGERANG: Police arrested a suspected drug dealer and a
courier in an operation on Monday evening, and confiscated 200
grams of shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine) valued at Rp 160
million (US$17,977).

Tangerang Police detectives chief Adj. Comr. Asep Adi Saputra
said on Tuesday undercover officers arranged to buy a small
package of shabu-shabu from one of the suspects at his rented
house in Rawa Bokor subdistrict.

In the joint operation with Benda Police, the officers found
another 99 packages of shabu-shabu -- each weighing one gram --
in a suitcase in the house. The suspect told officers he sold the
packages for Rp 800,000 each.

Police later arrested the second suspect, who was carrying
another 100 grams of shabu-shabu for delivery to the first
suspect's house. -- JP
