Police nab drug dealers in Bali
DENPASAR, Bali: The police in Denpasar have nabbed two suspected drug dealers and seized some 15.8 grams of shabu- shabu (crystal methamphetamine).
"We had been chasing them for a few days and finally arrested them last Tuesday," Bali Police narcotic division chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Wayan Suwena said here on Friday.
The suspected criminals were identified as Komang Wiartana, 30, and Totok Sugiarto, 39.
"We found 13 small packages containing a total of 11.4 grams of shabu-shabu with him. Later on we also searched his house, but unfortunately we found nothing hidden away there," said Suwena.
Both suspects confessed that they belonged to a group of drug dealers that specialized in distributing shabu-shabu, marijuana and heroin, in Kuta and Denpasar.
The group has allegedly also expanded its market in the northern part of Bali, especially the harbor city of Singaraja, some 80 kilometers north of here, the police said. (zen)
