Police launch anti-vice drive

PURWAKARTA, West Java: Police have warned the owners of movie houses in the regencies of Purwakarta, Karawang, Cikampek and Subang to stop showing pornographic films and film posters.

Antara quoted police chief Col. Rahmat Tirtapradja as saying that the movie owners ran the risks of ruining public morality, whose low level has already resulted in a number of student brawls.

Rahmat called on the movie owners to show comedies instead. (01)
