Police foil gambling

PONTIANAK, West Kalimantan: Police have arrested four men suspected of organizing gambling activities at a three-star hotel.

One of the detainees is a Malaysian citizen, according to Antara.

Spokesman for the provincial police said the suspects were arrested on Monday along with a large amount of Indonesian and Malaysian currency.

He said the cardsharks used small denomination bills when gambling in order to avoid detection. Lucky gamblers had their winnings delivered straight to their homes. (par)
