Police expo in September

JAKARTA (JP): In commemoration of its 55th anniversary, the
National Police will hold a four-day exhibition called "Police
Expo 2001" from Sept. 27 to Sept. 30 at Bung Karno sports
stadium, in Senayan, Central Jakarta.

The exhibition is the second of its kind, aimed at showcasing
police security equipment and products.

Police' technology and equipment such as safety, fire and
security devices will be displayed in the expo.

Products to be exhibited in the expo include access control
devices, alarms, bomb detectors, antihacker software, security
communications products, virus detection and fire equipment.

A series of seminars and product presentations will also be
held in the expo which is supported by, among others, the Police
Academy (PTIK), the Directorate General of Tax and Excise, the
National Research Council and the Indonesian Institute of
Sciences (LIPI). (hdn)
