<p>Police chief found shot dead</p><p> SUBANG, West Java: First Lt. Kasdari, chief of Jalancagak city
police precinct in Subang regency, was found dead with a massive
head wound in his office on Saturday.</p><p>He was believed to have shot himself in the head, the Antara
news agency said, quoting police in Purwakarta.</p><p>He was found by one of his staff who had earlier thought the
chief was sleeping on his desk. The officer said he did not hear
a gunshot but said the sound may have been overwhelmed by the
buzzing of a lawn mower outside.</p><p>Kasdari's wife and children had recently abandoned him and
this may have been the reason for his taking his life, sources
