Police catch illegal loggers

JAMBI, Jambi: Eleven men were detained and hundreds of logs
were seized by police during a raid on illegal loggers at Berbak
National Park here on Thursday.

Jambi Police chief Col. Ngusman Fua'dy was quoted by Antara as
saying on Thursday the police detained 11 men but were still
looking for the mastermind behind the lumber theft.

"We are trying to arrest the man that runs the illegal
business," Ngusman said.

The police also managed to confiscate thousands of logs last
month, but the owner remains at large."We are still hunting down
the owner and the looted timber we found in the national park,"
