Police boss visits officers

JAKARTA (JP): Unlike the previous days, the hundreds of police officers posted in the People's Consultative Assembly compound were smiling on Wednesday and there was a notable easing of tension, thanks to the visit, albeit brief, of their commander Insp. Gen. Nurfaizi.

Laughter was frequently heard as Nurfaizi, flanked by renowned actress and singer Dorce, made light conversation with his subordinates, who were mostly non-commissioned officers.

Despite the informal atmosphere, Nurfaizi, as always, did not forget to issue his orders.

Nurfaizi brought the officers meals and essentials. The officers responded by demonstrating their talent for singing to bring the short visit to a close. (msa)
