Police arrest three drug dealers

DEPOK: Depok Police arrested three suspected drug dealers and seized 13 bags of putaw low grade heroine and a bag of marijuana.

Police arrested Umar Joko Beruk, 36, on Saturday at his house in Pancoran Mas district, thanks to a tip-off from local residents.

Based on information provided by Umar in his statement, police nabbed Teguh Sucipto, 38, on Monday at his house in Depok Jaya subdistrict. Teguh said he had been selling putaw and marijuana for several years. During the arrest, police found 11 bags of putaw on Teguh.

On the same day, police captured another drug dealer Misrad Tarigan, 35, on the street while he was high on marijuana.

Depok Police detectives First Brig. Agus Sutopo and First Brig. Hendra Kurniawan, who made the arrests, said they were grilling the suspects in a bid to crush the drug ring in the municipality. -- JP
