Police arrest marijuana dealer

BOGOR: The Bogor Municipal Police arrested a suspected marijuana dealer in Sempur village and seized three kilograms of dried marijuana early on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old suspect, Aldi Hasan Basri, has long been a police target due to complaints from local residents.

Aldi admitted he began selling marijuana six months ago. So far he had sold 100 kilograms of marijuana. He bought the marijuana at Rp 1.4 million per kilogram from Boy, who lives in Jakarta. Aldi then sold it at Rp 1.8 million per kilogram.

Bogor Police Chief, Adj. Sr. Comr. Setyo Wasisto, said a police officer had gone undercover, pretending to buy the marijuana to enable the suspect to be arrested.-- JP
