Police arrest man with 'illegal' car

BEKASI:: Bekasi police arrested a man identified only as JF for alleged possession of an undocumented car.

Detectives chief Sr. Adj. Comr. Riyanto said on Thursday that JF had not been named a suspect as the police were trying to find out whether he was the real owner of the green Toyota Harrier, which was fitted with fake military license plates.

The driver could not produce any documents for the car, he added.

"We suspect that JF is the owner of the illegal car, but we are still investigating the case."

JF is reported to be the husband of a soap opera star. -- Antara
