Poem

Silent Silhouette

She stands tonight,

Silent, imposing

A gray silhouette

Against gray clouds

And gray sky.

Mt. Salak

Is thinking

Her evening thoughts,

Is saying her nightly

Prayers.

Mt. Salak on a Gray Day

She lies today

sleeping late

in the gray morning,

Soft down clouds

puffed

over her flank

Tucked up

to her chin

Flow down

to the carpet

of forest green.
