PNG national nabbed with bomb

JAYAPURA, Papua: Navy personnel arrested Lazarus Hom, 30, a Papua
New Guinea (PNG) national, for bringing a low-explosive bomb into
Papua territory.

Lazarus was detained on Friday along with 11 other PNG
nationals while sailing in the waters off Jayapura.

Lazarus was the only person charged with a crime after Navy
personnel found a low-explosive bomb in his possession, which he
apparently planned to use for fish bombing.

The case is being investigated by the Jayapura Police. -- JP
