PLN, please clarify

PLN, please clarify

It has been reported in this paper and others that the state-
owned electricity company (PLN) was to raise electricity rates on
July 1, 2001. I would like PLN to clarify that power used before
June 30, 2001 was at the old rate and will be billed at the old
rate.

For Bali, this would mean that this new rate would first
appear on the August 2001 bill because PLN's billing system is
two months late (i.e. power used from June 1 to June 30, 2001
appears on the August 2001 bill).

PLN, please clarify this before the next electricity rate
increase.
