PKB gets a boost

SURABAYA: The campaign of the National Awakening Party (PKB) got a boost from a Chinese Indonesian who stressed the party's program of protection against all diverse groups.

"My goal to join this party is to end discrimination in society," Tan Pipit, 33, said as quoted by Antara.

He said it was his first time to address the public but luckily his notes saved him.

He acknowledged contributions from a number of Chinese Indonesians and said they were in compliance with the law. (anr)
