Photography exhibition in CCF
I read with great pleasure your reporter's article on Nov. 20 concerning Oscar Motuloh's Voice from Angkor photography exhibition presented at the CCF art gallery. I would like to thank him for the positive comments that bring to light an example of successful cooperation between France and Indonesia.
Still, I have one regret: his article ends on a very negative note, which in my opinion, is totally unjustified. Also, the reporter did not find it necessary to consult us to clarify this matter. I would like, in particular, to clear up two misunderstandings:
* The exhibition is "poorly" displayed in a small and bare place. It occupies the whole CCF gallery and this simple and bare presentation was Oscar's choice which I agreed with. The reporter is the very first to complain about it.
* Concerning the food "odors" (why the need to write about it in such a negative manner?). Let me remind the reporter that for us, the French, cooking and gastronomy are important elements of our culture... and this is one of the reasons why we decided, in a friendly way, to have our cafeteria-restaurant installed to adjoin our exhibition gallery.
