Photography exhibition

Nine photographers will show their work at an exhibition titled Tentang Fotografi (On Photography) at Teater Utan Kayu in Jakarta.

Most of the works deal with the perception of the camera and photography. The exhibition was inspired by the late Susan Sontag (1933-2004) of the U.S., who wrote a series of essays on the force of photographic images that were compiled in the book On Photography.

The photographers taking part in the exhibition are Firman Ichsan, Nico Dharmajungen, Tara Sosrowardoyo, Erik Prasetya, Oscar Motuloh, Yudhi Soerjoatmodjo, Keke Tumbuan, Paul Kadarisman and Timur Angin.

The exhibition will be held from Aug. 4 to Aug. 14.
