Photo display on independence

JAKARTA: Some 50 historical photographs featuring Australia's
role in Indonesia's struggle for independence will be on display
during the Festival Kraton to be held at Yogyakarta palace from
Aug. 6 to 20.

The exhibition entitled Australia and Indonesia's Independence
Struggle was initiated by the Australia-Indonesia Institute.

The pictures have traveled throughout Indonesia and exhibited
in Jakarta, Denpasar in Bali, Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara and
Surabaya in East Java with the support of local organizations,
the Australian embassy said. (par)
