NOT YOUR AVERAGE POTHOLE: A laborer (center, in water) receives a
hammer from his colleague, while a crowd of children play with
water nearby. A water main on Jl. Dewi Sartika, East Jakarta,
exploded Wednesday because of heavy pressure from passing
vehicles, causing thousands cubic meters of water to be lost.
Laborers hired by the City Water Company, PAM Jaya, started
repairing the water main yesterday.
