Pertamina unit retains ISO

JAKARTA (JP): Ship repairer PT Patra Dok Dumai, a wholly owned subsidiary of state oil and gas company Pertamina, has passed the test to retain the International Standard Organization (ISO) 9002 certificate for its shipyard in Dumai, Riau.

Pertamina spokesman Ramli Djaafar said in a statement on Monday that the London-based certification company, Lloyd Register Quality Assurance, issued the judgment on May 6. The assessor argued that Patra Dok's shipyard still deserved the certificate after examining the performance of the shipyard for two days.

Ramli did not reveal when Patra Dok first received the certificate. (jsk)
