Persani to select SEA Games gymnasts

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Gymnastics Association (Persani)
will stage a three-day selection to pick members of the Kuala
Lumpur Southeast Asian (SEA) Games team.

The Persani deputy secretary-general, Frederick Huma, was
quoted by Antara as saying on Tuesday that the core team would
comprise 15 athletes.

The first day selection on June 23 is for individual rhythmic
gymnastics followed by men's and women's artistic gymnastics on
June 28 and rhythmic gymnastics again on June 29.

Persani is targeting five of 20 golds at stake in the Sept. 8
to Sept. 17 Games. The body is sending two gymnasts on overseas
stints.

Yulianti has been training in Moscow over the past month while
Oh Zhe Ching will train in Romania early next month. (yan)
