JAKARTA (JP): Flights from Medan to Penang, Malaysia, are
fully booked until the end of this month as more people are
traveling overseas to avoid the current domestic political
uncertainty, travel agencies in Medan said.

They said Malaysia Airlines, the only carrier servicing the
Medan-Penang route, was fully booked until the end of the month.

The increased demand on that route has prompted Garuda
Indonesia to charter Boeing-737s to ply the route once a day on
Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

However, demand for tickets from Medan to Singapore has
remained stable, Antara quoted travel agencies as saying in
