Pelti names Davis Cup team

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Tennis Association (Pelti) has
named its four players competing in the Davis Cup Asia Oceania
Zone Group II matches against the Philippines in Manila from Feb.
4 to Feb. 6.

The players are Suwandi, Febi Widhiyanto, Hendri Susilo
Pramono and Edy Kusdaryanto. Old hand Dede Suhendar Dinata and
lefthander Sebastian Da Costa have been excluded from the team.
The players are still competing in three future tournaments in
India.

Dedy Prasetyo has been named as the coach and Tintus Arianto
Wibowo appointed as nonplaying captain.

Pelti spokesman Benny Mailili said the association would not
appoint a team manager but he did not elaborate on the reason.

The Philippines will field a team of relatively new players
comprising of Johnny Arcilla, Rolando Ruel Jr., Adelo Abadia and
Pop Sabandon. They will be accompanied by nonplaying captain
Martin Misa. (yan)
