Pekanbaru rocked by eighth bomb hoax

PEKANBARU, Riau: A unanimous caller said on Tuesday that he
placed a bomb in Surya Dumai Group building in Pekanbaru city,
creating panic in the five-story office building.

People were told to leave the building and security personnel
were immediately called in after a telephone operator reported
the bomb threat to security personnel.

The threat was proven to be a hoax. The hoax was the eighth in
the past month in the city. -- JP
