PDI birthday in Palu

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Minister of Home Affairs Moch. Yogie
SM and Armed Forces Chief Gen. Feisal Tanjung are scheduled to
attend a ceremony marking the anniversary of the Indonesian
Democratic Party (PDI) in Tentena, a resort town near Lake Poso
on Jan. 10, Antara said.

"The Central Anniversary Committee (in Jakarta) has written to
inform that Minister Yogie and Gen. Feisal Tanjung have expressed
their readiness to attend the ceremony," Abdul Manaf Latjambo,
chairman of the PDI Central Sulawesi board, said Friday.

Yogie would fly to Palu after his working visit to South
Sulawesi on Jan. 9. Central Sulawesi Governor Paliudju and other
local high ranking officials would also attend.

PDI chairman Soerjadi was slated to make a political statement
on the upcoming general election, Abdul Manaf said. (emb)
