PBSI to stage age group c'ships

MAGELANG, Central Java (JP): The Central Java chapter of the
Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) will stage the third
Pro Ace Age Group Badminton National Championships here from
March 12 to March 17.

"The championships are expected to be able to groom talented
young shuttlers who in the future will be offered to Central Java
or even the national team," the chapter's chairman, Soenjoto,
said on Saturday.

Shuttlers aged between nine and 15 are welcome to compete in
the event. The championships will feature male and female nine-
year-old group, beginner A group between 11 and 13, and beginner
B between 13 and 15 in both individual and team events.

The organizers will also invite the PBSI official in charge of
research and development, Tahir Djide, to run coaching clinics
for local coaches. (har)
