PBSI chief Chairul loses bet
JAKARTA: Chairman of the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) Chairul Tanjung lost his bet of Rp 20,000 (US$2.22) to a group of international journalists over the Thomas Cup quarterfinals match between Indonesia and Malaysia.
Chairul placed his wage that Indonesia would win the match with a 3-0 score.
In fact, Lee Wan Wah and Choong Tan Fook won their doubles over Luluk Hadiyanto and Alven Yulianto to give the Malaysian team a point, thus denying Chairul's predicted score. --JP
