JAKARTA (JP): American painter Paul Nagano will exhibit his works at the CSIS building on Jl. Tanah Abang III, Central Jakarta, from tomorrow to Oct. 28.
The one-week exhibition, titled The Pulse of Paradise, Recent Watercolors of Bali, has been organized jointly by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Neka museum.
CSIS chairman Yusuf Wanandi plans to open the exhibition today. It will be open to the public from tomorrow to Oct. 28 from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. daily.
A book on Bali by Paul Nagano will be launched during the opening.
The exhibition will feature 52 watercolor paintings of Balinese landscapes and people. All of the paintings are from private collections.
Nagano told reporters yesterday that he has produced 400 paintings about Bali since 1983, his first visit to the island.
The CSIS plans to organize painting exhibitions regularly.
The next exhibition, scheduled for January next year, will display the paintings of Daoed Yusuf, a former minister of education and culture, and his wife. (29)
