Passport fee

I am a Pakistani businessman. I have been traveling in South Asian countries for the last eight years. I love to have my holidays in Indonesia.

I have never faced any problems while visiting Indonesia, but on my visit to the Jakarta Fair last year, someone stole my bag containing important documents, including my passport. After reporting the theft to the local police, the following day I went to the Pakistani Embassy for help. The Embassy passport officer was very cooperative and within two days I got a new passport, for which I was very grateful.

However, I would like to take this opportunity to request the Pakistani Embassy to reconsider the passport replacement fee, which is comparatively very high. Not everyone who loses their passport and money can afford to pay such a huge fee. It is especially a burden and a headache for laborers who work overseas to earn foreign exchange for their country. And thefts can happen anywhere, at any time.
