Passengers have no choice

From Suara Karya

Using excuses like traffic jams, too few passengers and public transportation vehicles following too closely, drivers of minivans often drop their passengers anywhere they wish.

This is a bitter experience but passengers usually have no choice but to accept the situation with resignation. This can be understood as passengers, in dire need of transport, are in a weak position, while minivan drivers feel they are more powerful and just tell passengers to "take it or leave it".

It seems to have become the drivers' habit to do so and I wonder why their discipline is so low that they do not feel responsible for disappointing their customers.

Some passengers consider reporting the case to the traffic police but they are not sure whether the authorities are willing to handle the problem.

Finally, most passengers can only hope that the highway transport apparatus will take strict action against minivan drivers who disregard the interests of fellow citizens.
