Parts of Jakarta will be dark

JAKARTA: The Tangerang and Jakarta branch of state electric
company PT PLN is planning to effect power cuts in several areas
of Greater Jakarta for the remainder of this whole due to
maintenance and network expansion work.

The areas in which the electricity supply will be subject to
cuts from Tuesday comprise Kampung Griya Thoyibah Srengseng and
Intercon Kebon Jeruk in West Jakarta; and PDAM housing complex,
Harapan Baru housing complex, Pulo Gebang housing complex, Rawa
Kuning, Gudang Peluru, Sanitation Agency, Jl. Raya Pulo Gebang
and Kampung Rawa Bebek in East Jakarta.

In Tangerang, the areas where the electricity will be cut off
include Kampung Cihuni, Srengseng and the Catalina Serpong
housing complex.

The power cuts will occur between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and will
be announced every Wednesday in the Republika, Pos Kota and
Rakyat Merdeka newspapers. -- JP
