Parties warned over violations

BALI: The Bali Elections Commission (KPUD) issued at least 15 written warnings to seven political parties for various violations in the first week of the campaign period, a KPUD official said on Friday.

The chairman of the KPUD, AA Gede Oka Wisnumurti, said that Golkar Party and the Concern for the Nation Functional Party (PKPB) topped the list of violators.

The KPUD recorded that the two parties had each committed four violations, including involving children in their campaigns and paying their supporters. -- JP
