Parties urged to teleconference

INDRALAYA, South Sumatra: The chairman of the University Rector Assembly, Radi A. Gany, said on Sunday political parties could more effectively campaign for the upcoming elections is they employed video teleconferencing.

By using this technology, campaign stops could be conducted simultaneously at several different locations, he said.

Radi said many universities across the country already used teleconferencing technology, and, given its effectiveness, political parties would be wise to follow suit.

However, he said political parties would have to be willing to pay for the technology. -- Antara.
