Parking at Karawaci

It is a pity that the management of Supermal Karawaci does not pay proper attention to automobile parking at this mall.

A long line of automobiles is often found waiting to enter the mall in certain hours on weekdays and on weekends because the several routes leading to the parking area all lead to one entrance.

A similar long line of automobiles is also a common sight at closing time. As a matter of fact, the management can guess that most visitors will leave the mall around 9 p.m., the time when most of the shops begin to close. Unfortunately, this outflow of automobiles is concentrated only at one payment booth. In such a situation, it takes an average of 15 minutes for each automobile to get out of the parking area.

To facilitate parking at Supermal Karawaci, the management should provide at least two entrances (for example by reopening the south entrance to the parking area) and operate more payment booths when the inflow and outflow of automobiles are bigger than usual. A small survey would help the management get an idea of the pattern of visitors to the mall. The mall is quite a comfortable place to visit and could lure more people if every car could get to the parking area comfortably, too.
