Pare Pare hit by second quake
PARE PARE, South Sulawesi: Another earthquake has hit the province, which is still recovering from a quake that killed 18 people last month, seismologists said Saturday.
The Meteorological and Geophysics Agency said the latest quake, measuring 5 on the open-ended Richter scale, occurred at 7:08 p.m. Friday, damaging three houses.
No injuries were reported due to the quake, which was centered near Pare Pare, Pinrang and Majene in South Sulawesi.
The three towns were badly hit by a magnitude 6 quake on Sept. 28 that flattened dozens of houses and buildings. (swe)
