Papua to hold autonomy talks
JAYAPURA, Papua: The Papua Police will host a meeting to evaluate the implementation of regional autonomy, which is entering its third year.
The meeting, which will be held from Wednesday to Friday at the office of Papua Governor Jaap Salossa, will be attended by government officials, activists and scholars, said Constan Karma, a member of the event's organizing committee, on Tuesday.
Members of the public will also be given the chance to offer their views on regional autonomy, which will help the government improve the implementation of regional autonomy in the future, said Karma. -- JP
