Painting expo at Taman Anggrek

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Fine Arts Foundation and the ASEAN Secretariat, in an effort to support "ASEAN Countdown 2000", is organizing a painting exhibition featuring more than 100 works of finalists and semifinalists of the Indonesian Art Awards 1998.

The exhibition at the ASEAN gallery at Mal Taman Anggrek shopping center in West Jakarta was opened on Sunday and will run until March 28.

Visitors will also be able to see artworks from Vietnam, Singapore, Myanmar, and Thailand.

Seminars on art subjects will also be held in conjunction with the exhibition.
