Overseas flights fully booked

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Flights from the city to Kuala Lumpur for May have been fully booked, sources from travel agencies said here on Wednesday.

"We have been putting passengers on the waiting list," Vini, a staff member of a travel bureau, told Antara.

However, flights from here to Singapore until the first two weeks of next month are still open.

The North Sumatra capital and Kuala Lumpur are also linked by sea transport six times a week.

Reports said many foreigners and Indonesians have left the country for fear of riots before and after the June 7 general election.
