Otoparts' online service

JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed automotive component maker PT Astra Otoparts inaugurated on Wednesday a new online facility, AOP Connect, to allow global customers and partners to order Astra Otoparts' products via the Internet.

Company director Eko D. Haryanto said AOP Connect would be very useful in helping customers to streamline their administrative processes.

"The facility will later be upgraded to enable it to process purchase transactions as well," he said.

The AOP Connect facility provides 24-hour access to real time information and can track orders and deliveries, enabling customers to know whether their orders are still in the production process, in the warehouse or already in shipment.

Astra Otoparts is a subsidiary of the widely diversified publicly listed PT Astra International with products covering a wide range of automobile and motorcycle parts of various brands, including BMW, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Toyota, Suzuki and Mitsubishi. (cst)
