Orientation program for new students

BOGOR, West Java (JP): As many as 26,000 junior high school (SMP) and senior high school (SMU) students here started a one- week orientation program on Monday to help them adapt to their new schools.

Two days will be devoted to on-site tours, and four days to a number of subjects such as student rights and obligations, civics, morality, and leadership.

Meanwhile, Bogor regional secretary Itoch Tochija said the orientation program was essential for helping the students to adjust to their new schools.

Schools across the country are staging similar programs this week. (21)
