Open letter to Mr. President

This is the 387th day since my son Petrus Bima Anugerah was taken away by force. As his mother, I continue to believe that my son is still alive and somewhere in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, I request your help to set my son free.

I have reported my son's disappearance to the chief of Police, the Military Police of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense and Security, the House of Representatives, the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras), the National Commission on Human Rights, and even to the International Red Cross, Amnesty International, the Human Rights Watch and the United Nations in Geneva. No clarity has been brought to the matter until today.

I am at a loss as to where else to go. Because my son is an Indonesian citizen and he disappeared in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, I would like to ask you, in the capacity as President of the Republic of Indonesia, to inform me as to the whereabouts of my son.

I will not tire looking for my son, wherever and whenever. I will continue to write open letters like this one until the government of the Republic of Indonesia explains the matter.

I look forward with hope to your attention and response, Mr. President. With my respectful regards.
