Open house, expo at Goethe-Institute
JAKARTA (JP): Goethe-Institute Jakarta holds an open house today, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the re-opening of its library on Jl. Matraman Raya 23, East Jakarta.
Visitors are free to search data on CD-ROM, check the internet homepage of the Goethe Institute and listen to their favorite songs, ranging from rock and pop to classic. Low-price books are also available.
The institute also invites visitors to attend the opening of an exhibition featuring Heinrich Bll's works, which will run until May 3.
Bll (1917-1985), was a distinguished German writer who received a Nobel award in 1972. His book, Die verlorene Ehre der Katharina Blumm (The Lost Honor of Katarina Blum, Hilangnya Martabat Katharina Blum) has been translated into Indonesian. (sim)
