Opel cars to be released soon
JAKARTA (JP): General Motors of the United States will soon release its first Indonesian-made Opel cars from its factory in Bekasi, West Java.
Andreas Brauer, the account manager for INTE, one of Opel's training agencies, is conducting a series of training sessions as part of the company's program to develop an Indonesian market for Opel products, the company announced here yesterday
The training is given to Opel-Chevrolet dealers and their sales and after sales teams.
General Motors is the majority owner of PT General Motors Buana Indonesia, a joint venture formed in September 1993 to manufacture Opel passenger cars beginning in 1994 and Chevrolet light commercial vehicles in 1995.
General Motors is the owner of Germany's Adam Opel AG, the manufacturer of Opel vehicles. (hen)
