On wildlife trading

I am terribly shocked to learn that the illegal wildlife trade in Indonesia is a Rp 9 trillion a year business. This is a great irony considering that Indonesia at present still has to shoulder a huge foreign debt.

The government must deal with these cases more seriously, and ensure law enforcement is systematically carried out. Or we will have to face the extinction of many wild species, a great loss to our next generations.

I call on our Indonesian friends, the ProFauna activists, to continuously work to save wildlife.
