On Tonetto's comments

Everyone has a right to an opinion, including Mr. Tonetto. However, such a personal attack on Mr. Brazier (Tonetto responds, Dec. 22) was most uncalled for. That Tonetto resorted to attacking the origins of Brazier's name came across as downright petty. Shame on you.

I found Tonetto's opinion piece quite odd myself. It started off as an opinion piece, but by part two it turned into a tirade on how morality in Australia has, in Tonetto's opinion, disintegrated to such an extent that gay rights have become accepted in Australian society.

The fact that no one else saw fit to dignify Mr. Tonetto's venomous letter with a response is commendable.
