On the Euro

The upcoming days will be crucial for the euro ... It is encouraging that (euro) D-Day was marked more by curiosity and amazement than by anger and discontentment.

From now on the euro is more than an idea, more than a concept: it is an everyday reality that more than 300 million Europeans will have to tame and master.

In fact, the euro is the first palpable European reality, eminently useful as we can pass through many borders without stopping at money exchange bureaus.

With this simplification we are finally one Europe.
